Oct. 28th: After a day of rest after the century Ride, I was feeling good and wanted go for maximum mileage today.
Then newspaper said an East wind so I decided to go west towards Ajo. The plan was to go as far as I could then call
my folks, who are back in AZ for the winter, to pick me up. I made it as far a Sells (20 miles west of kitt Peak) before
the wind shifted unfavorably to continue to Ajo, so I turned around and headed home--right in the head wind that brought me
there. I didn't quite make it home before dark so Penny picked me up. I was very unhappy with
my Performance brand gel bike shorts--I actually had to turn them inside out to finish the ride. Thankfully they allowed
me to exchange them for a different brand that I'd found more comfortable. Actual Mileage: 132!
